Modern Exchange Company LLC (MEC) was established in 1993, its main activities is issuing of demand drafts (DD), telegraphic transfers (TT) and electronic on -line transfer of funds, buying / selling of foreign currencies, travelers cheque etc. All thee services are given through four branches in (Ruwi, Musana, Ghala and Khad) and new branch coming up in Sohar.

Construction Materials Industries & Contracting Co. SAOG was established in 1977, it has grown steadily ever since its inception. It produce variance types of lime and blocks products, with a quality range of pure Omani products which meet a wide range of needs, the company caters to  several vital industries and the projects, both locally and abroad through its three pioneering manufacturing plants.

CMI’s prime production plant is at Quriyat where the Company processes limestone. This highly versatile natural substance is quarried from CMI’s own quarry within the plant. The high purity limestone is then processed to meet the needs of a diverse range of industries. The second
plant at Al Amerat near Muscat, is the only manufacturer of Calcium Silicate bricks and blocks in Oman, and has State-of-the-art technology, a stringent quality standard which has achieved an ISO 9002 certification.
